Calix terms of service
These terms cover Calix, the desktop calendar published by Ian Swope. They do not cover the notes published on this website.
The software
Calix runs on your computer. You can use, copy, and modify it under the MIT License, which ships with the program. Copyright © 2026 Ian Swope. These terms do not take that license away.
Your Google account
Connecting Google Calendar is optional. If you connect it, you authorize Calix to read and update that calendar as described in the privacy policy. You can disconnect the account in Calix, or revoke it in your Google Account, at any time. You are responsible for the Google account you connect and for the events you create or change with it.
What Calix does not promise
Calix is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It may fail to sync, show a stale copy while you are offline, or lose an edit if a remote calendar rejects it. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Ian Swope is not liable for lost events, missed appointments, or anything else that results from using the software, to the extent the law allows.
